Beetles of Libya

Checklists have been compiled and validated with the help of, or by specialists of each family. Since the extensive work of Zavattari (1934) few papers have been published and the checklists of libyan beetles, never reviewed.
So far, many new records for Libya are mentioned (marked with a *) and 3 new species have been described for the Buprestidae (Paratassa and Anthaxia) and Cerambycidae (Chlorophorus). More will come soon for the Curculionidae. When published, a pdf of the papers is linked.
For each collected species, a photo of a prepared specimen and if available pictures in the live are shown.
Even though it is not an official way of publication, it has been decided to publish all the data gathered during three year in Libya in a web site. This solution allows a faster and wider diffusion, particularly for Libyan friends, than a journal, which most often is only accessible in museums.
