Host plant: Acacia tortilis, A. flava, A. senegal.
Life cycle: 1-2 years at least.
Distribution: Sahel to Hoggar.
New record for Libya, Fazzan.

Messak Sattafet: Wadi Ti-n-Sharuma, 11-16/07/2003; Tehi-n-Tamellelt, 18/06/2003; Terhin 07/2002 and 21-23/07/2004; I-n-Aramas Ikufar, 11/07/2004; Wadi I-n-Haggaren, 24/07/2003. All ex larva from Acacia tortilis. Much less common than Ptychomus politus.
