Host plant: Pest of Eucalyptus. Life cycle: 1 year, adults in May-August in Libya. Distribution: From Australia, introduced to several countries; in the Mediterranean area it is known from Morocco, SW Spain, Tunisia, Malta, Italy, and Greece. New record for Libya. In Tripolitania with P. semipunctata, but more common: Janzur, 03.VIII.2001 and 10.I.2004; Suq al Khamis, 13.V.2003; Al ‘Aziziyah, 30.V.2003; east of Tajura’, I.2002. Sabratah, 07/05/2005, P.
