Size: 14-28 mm.
Host plant: Pest of Eucalyptus.
Life cycle: 1 year, adults in May-August in Libya.
Distribution:
From Australia, imported everywhere the host plants grows; known in whole Mediterranean from Portugal and France to Turkey, Jordan and Israel. Recorded in North Africa from Egypt to the Atlantic coast of Morocco.
New record for Libya, Tripolitania and Cyrenaica.

Tripolitania: As Zahrah, 03/08/2002; Al ‘Aziziyah, 30/05/2003.
Cyrenaica: Cyrene (Shahat), 27/06/2003; Tukrah, 01/06/2004, fruit trap.
Nocturnal specie, generally found under the bark of live Eucalyptus. Likely present wherever Eucalyptus are grown (likely whole Libya).
