Cyrenaica: Wadi al Kuf

One of the best natural place in Cyrenaica, supposed to be a national park!: nice canyon and forest (old Cupressus sempervirens, Quercus coccifera, Ceratonia siliqua...). A good place for collecting, cited in most old papers..

Some beetles collected there:

Cerambycidae: Prinobius myardi Mulsant, 1842 in old Ceratonia siliqua; Stictoleptura cordigera (Fuesslins, 1775); Penichroa fasciata (Stephens, 1831).

Buprestidae: Acmaeoderella lanuginosa (Gyllenhal, 1817); Acmaeoderella virgulata (Illiger, 1803); Anthaxia (s. str.) funerula (Illiger, 1803); Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) scutellaris Géné, 1836; Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) umbellatarum (Fabricius, 1787); Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) ringenbachi Baiocchi 2004; Agrilus grandiceps cyrenaicus Kiesenwetter, 1857...

Curculionidea: Cyllorhynchites n. sp; Phyllobius (Ectomogaster) festae F. Solari, 1925; Polydrusus (Conocetus) festae F. Solari, 1925...

Cleridae: Opilo taeniatus (Klug, 1842)
